Motivation comes from different sources, sizes, and intensity. It is described as a reason to do a particular task. This motivation can either make your way to your success or lessen your interest. Different kinds of motivation work for different kinds of person. Hence, knowing which one really motivates you is important.
The accumulation of different kinds of motivation can be used as a very effective method. In increasing one’s drive to reach a goal. In this way, you can’t just motivate yourself, but also other people around you.

Intrinsic And Extrinsic Motivation
Ideally, these two are the general classification of motivation.
Intrinsic motivation is a motivation that comes within one’s self. Driven by internal benefit. Sometimes, the main reason why you are doing something is that it is simply fun and it satisfies you. Reading a book can be enjoyable because you want to know the whole story. Or listening to your favorite music because it eases and soothes you. Basically what motivates you is your interest and the self-satisfaction you achieve afterward.
Extrinsic motivation, on the other hand, is a type of motivation that is driven by external rewards. These rewards are derived from achieving a particular task. Such as money, fame, grades, or trophies.
Remember the time that you joined a particular contest because the prize is so good?
Or the time you did something awesome because you want to please someone?
These are some examples Extrinsic Motivation can be a powerful catalyst in doing a particular job.
Here are some of the minor forms of motivation. They either fall into either intrinsic or extrinsic motivation mentioned above.
The Motivation Which Results In Incentives And Rewards
This kind of motivation drives one to finish the task for a particular reward. It is mostly the “finish that and receives this” kind of mentality. The drive that these people to effectively finish a certain job or reach a particular achievement.
The Motivation Which Results In Affiliation With Others (Or Social Motivation)
Having friends in higher places, or knowing skillful and knowledgeable people drives someone to be inspired and motivated. These people use these social factors such as belonging to an exclusive group. Or, being a member of a team to propel them forward. Thus, pushes them to their desired goal. Sometimes, joining a specific group and to socialize to others is their main goal and motivation after all.
Motivation Due To Fear
This motivation type is not really negative in its essence. Most people with this kind of motivation tends to be more careful about doing things. And also are driven by the fact that if they can’t achieve it, consequences may occur. They have this fear of failure that helps them to see and assess possible outcomes of their actions when reaching their goals. This motivation can be very effective as long as it keeps one from quitting off.
The Motivation Which Leads To Achievement
Climbing the corporate ladder, such as job promotion, and other aspects of our lives are just a few of the things that we can achieve if we have this motivation. We are not just reaching the top because of a reward, but just simply of the sake of achieving it.
