Boredom is usually the common reason why people slack of or abandoning the task altogether. It also drains out our motivation by doing things, I mean, doing the same thing mindlessly every day is a living nightmare in itself for some. Boredom kicks in most of the time if we are not dedicated and lost interest on the task at hand. And the more we submerge our thoughts to boredom, the stronger that feeling becomes. All effort become minimum or even gone once boredom kicks in.

A tiny sliver of fun will make a great difference in any boring situation. A dull situation or task can be turned into an enjoyable and vibrant one. If a person knows how to turn the situation to his advantage. Most of us know that that it is hard to get one motivated in order to start a task. It is common to hear the phrase “if you can’t beat them, then join them”, and that is true when doing a task too. So go ahead and try this method, who knows, this may become your fuel to do the task needed.

By having this kind of reward system, you can have something to look after at the end of every task.

Yep, you read it right, make a task bearable and keep yourself motivated by treating it as a game. Challenge yourself or others to finish the task. Have a friendly competition with your comrades or push yourself to beat a record. You won’t just place back your focus by increasing the challenge of the job. You can also increase all of your drive and dedication to the job. Rewards also work in tandem with this for a much challenging and fun experience.  

A balance between challenge, accomplishment, and distraction is the key in having fun. Make sure though, that you won’t be overpowered by the fun that you will lose focus on the task. It is not bad to have fun, and it is encouraged all the time to make the work much lighter, bearable, and most of all, not boring.
