Bad Season: Looking Brighter
Have you ever feel that you don’t want to do anything? Like it is hard to get up from the bed and your body is way heavier than the usual? Do you always feel moody for no definite reason and that moodiness is pointed towards pretty much anything that comes into your path? You feel mad at anything and sometimes you blame it on anything that you can think of, like the weather, your hair, or your neighbor’s cat? Do feel this at specific times of the year like during the summer or rainy months? Then, probably you are experiencing a bad season.
A bad season is like a part of the year where you turned into a menopausal middle-aged woman. With a temper of a Tasmanian devil and cardio of a sloth. This season turns you upside down and makes you feel bad, sad, and annoyed all the time. All of us have that, and it is not easy to deal with our everyday lives while under it. So, the question here is: how can you get over it and stay consistent with your mood throughout the year?
Well, there are ways to cope with this, and here are the ones that I think are the best way to do it.
Get Up And Go Out
Telling that to someone on their bad season is like herding a bunch of lazy cats. You get the picture.
It may sound demanding, but the best way to start is to just simply go out there and enjoy the fresh air. If you wake up on the bad side of the bed and feels like you don’t want to do anything. Think of something that can give you a benefit, like work-out or just go jogging on your neighborhood or the nearest park. Doing these activities will warm up not just your body but also your mind. Making you think more clearly and for you to come up with different ideas. It is also essential for you to give yourself a little reward after doing it. Like, get yourself a cup of ice cream after an hour of jogging or something.
Diverting Your Attention Into Something Exciting
Is summer your hated season? Then go to the beach for a relaxing swim or go on hiking and feel nature around you. Winter is not your ideal season? You can go skiing or gather all the kids in your neighborhood for a match of a snowball fight. The thing here is that you need to look for a great activity. To turn your bad season into something that will give you excitement and fun.
If those activities mentioned above is not your type. And you opt for some simpler activities, you can go out with your S.O. for a date or for a movie. Go online on your favorite game and have a game or two with your friends… Think of all the possible things that you can do to divert yourself away from stress and the bad things your bad season may bring.
Look For Something To Get Busy
One good way to combat your bad season syndrome is to just keep yourself busy. Keeping yourself busy and focused on something will make you forget that feeling of moodiness. It will keep you occupied for longer periods of time. You can do worthwhile things like watching interesting videos and reading fascinating articles on the web, cooking or baking something, or cleaning the whole house if you feel like it.
It is also important that you get yourself a hobby. Hobbies will always feel interesting to do to some degree almost all the time. You can collect a whole lot of things such as comic books, action figures, old music vinyl, and memorabilia. Even bonsais if you feel so. Hobbies are not just exclusive on collecting things, they can be in an active form too such as playing a particular sport or involving yourself in martial arts.
The important thing here is that do any activity that will keep you busy and immersed while enjoying the time doing it.
Well, bad seasons really brings out the worst of us, and sometimes leads us to mostly bad situations. By keeping oneself motivated and occupied, they can change their mood from bad to good. Just by simply enjoying and making most of what their bad season has to throw at them. Making you more refreshed, happier and more motivated than before.
